How do you move a Public Folder Store from one Exchang Storage Group to another?
Hi,I have a Storage Group (call it 'SG1') that contains just one store: a 'Public Folder Store'. I want to delete SG1, but i need to preserve it's Public Folder Store. Can I move it's P.F.S. to a differnet Storage Group (call it 'SG2')?I can't see how: if i right-click the PFS, there are options to delete, cut, and copy, but not move. If I select 'properties' of the PFS, I can change the file-system location of the database files, but i can't change what SG the PFS belongs to.I also can't seem to find any documentation on the web saying how to move a PFS.Please help. Thanks,JoDeet

Just create a new Public Folder Store where you want, and migrate all public folders to it. Also, update anything to looks at the public folder store. Then delete the old one. Here is an easy way to do this. http://support.microsoft.com/kb/822895/en-us

Thanks for that tip, but unfortunately, pfmigrate errors out because apparently, it doesn't support moving PFs within the same Exchange 2003 server (I'm trying to move a Public Folder Store (PFS) from within one Storage Group to another Storage Group, all on the same Exchange 2003 server). Can I just make my intended PFS destination be a replica of the current PFS, and then delete the current PFS?I've already tried this approach, but got stuck with Exchange Ssytem Manager either not seeing my new, virginal PFS, or complaining about the same or different 'Public Folder Tree's.Any ideas? Thanks
