How do you export an edge list? i.e. list of who emailed whom
Good morning, I'm a doctoral researcher that studies network communication patterns. We use NodeXL to calculate SNA measures. For that to work, I need to be able to access an exchange server, and pull out a list of each email over a year, capturing to and from data. This in aggregate is called a edge list and is the imput for the NodeXL software. But how can I easily (and remotely) access such information? Sean

Hi, Protocol logging records the SMTP conversations that occur between e-mail servers as part of message delivery. These SMTP conversations occur on Send connectors and Receive connectors configured on servers running Microsoft Exchange Server 2010 that have the Hub Transport server role or the Edge Transport server role installed. Hi, You can also use message tracking logs for message forensics, mail flow analysis, reporting, and troubleshooting. Configure Message Tracking How to Search Message Tracking Logs You could also enable journal ing feature to caputure all messages from users on a specific mailbox database and sends the message copy to a specified journaling mailbox. Understanding Journaling But if you want to use third party software to capture the data to and from Exchange server, you may need to ask for more help from “Development Forum”. This forum is for exchange related issues.
