How do i get a log from the mails send from a distribution group?
Hi Everyone, So in the security properties of a Distribution Group, i have given some users "send as" permissions so they can email customers while it appears the mails have been send from the same address (wich at the same time is also internal a distribution group) I need a way to find out/log what mails have been "send as" this distribution group. Getting a copy of the recieved mails was easy, i just added myself to the distribution group. Is it possible to see what was "send as"? Cheers.

Yes. What release of Exchange? http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ee221156(v=exchg.80).aspx http://exchangeserverpro.com/exchange-2010-mailbox-audit-logging/ --- Rich Matheisen MCSE+I, Exchange MVP --- Rich Matheisen MCSE+I, Exchange MVP We are running Exchange Server 2010. Mails are being sent to many different external customer email addresses. And the mails are being send from a distribution group. Only a distribution group and a security group exist, no mailbox exists.

The best way to nail it down without any major effort is -Message Moderation which is also applicable for Groups if that is so important - http://blogs.technet.com/b/exchange/archive/2009/06/10/3407662.aspxAnand Shankar
