How do I see the details of a booked resource?
In exchange 2007, I can see that a resource is booked but I don't see the details of who booked it. I am an admin and the engineer I work with can see that details. We did not make any rights changes for his account or my account for these resources. So why don't we see the same information in our calendars?

Hi, From your description, I guess that you are not able to view detailed Free/Busy information for resource mailbox when creating a new meeting request and select Scheduling Assistant. If I am off base, please let me know. I would like to explain that Permission setting on the Calendar folder of the resource mailbox control the Free/Busy information returned by the Availability service. By default, the user is only able to get Free/Busy time. If you would like to get detailed Free/Busy information, you need to change permission of the Calendar folder of the resource mailbox. In addition, please also let me know the Outlook version which you used to retrieve Free/Busy status. Mike,Thanks for getting back to me. Yes, I am selecting the scheduling assistant and adding the room resource I want to book. I can see if it's booked but not the details of who has it booked. As an administrator I would like to see this. Can you specify the permissions that I would need to change to see these details? The engineer I work was is under the impression that he has not made any specific permission changes that lets him see the free/busy details. I am using outlook 2007. Specifically: (12.0.6316.5000) SP1 MSO (12.0.6320.5000).

FYI, I gave myself full mailbox rights through ADUC for the room resource and can now see the details. Not sure if this is over kill in terms of rights, but I can see what I need now.

Hi Brian, Normally, we can grant the user Full Details read permission to the calendar folder of the Resource Mailbox to gather detailed information when selecting Scheduling Assistant. You can log on the Resource Mailbox by using credential which has full mailbox permission to the resource mailbox. Thanks,Mike
