How do I lock domain admins out of a users mailbox Exchange 2007
The Company that I work for is moving to Exchange 2007. But the three owners of the company will not move because they know the admins can read their email. Is there something that I can do to encrypt their email so only they can see it? Please help!

Hi,By default domain admins can't read other peoples e-mails in exchange server. There is specified specific deny for members of the domain admins group.Leif

The problem that I am having is they know that I can grant myself access to their mailbox. It there something I can set up so any admin cant do so? Like a cert so only they have access to their own email?

There really is no 100% sure way to prevent admins from doing what they want, if they want to do something and they know how to do it.Admin could backup mailboxdatabaseand restore it elsewhere, export content, etc..Like a cert so only they have access to their own email? As far as I know, you cannot protect (Exchange) mailboxes with certs.

I'd tell them that if they don't trust you or your colleagues they shouldn't have given you the keys to the kingdom in the first place.Active Directory, 4th Edition - www.briandesmond.com/ad4/
