How do I know who the first Exchange server in an Org is?
Hi, I have to delete an exchange server from our network. Unfortunately I cant do it cleanly. How can i tell if it is the first Exchange 2003 server in our org? Thanks Drew

Hi Drew The first Exchange server usually holds the OAB generator and RUS roles but these could have been moved to another server at some point. If you follow the guide below (I'm sure you have seen it already) and just skip over anything that you do not find on the server you are deleting. http://support.microsoft.com/kb/822931 Cheers, Steve

Nope.. not yet. The project to retire the server keeps getting put off. I think all the roles have been removed from the server so it "could" be off with no issues. Thnaks for the replies.
