How do I fix an e-mail that arrives showing html code instead of the html message?
I have a user who now will receive notifications from Oracle regarding POs. The first email he received was formatted to text and the html code was displayed. How can I figure out what caused the conversion? Oracle, Exchange or Outlook? If I simply "edit" the message and convert it to html, the formatting changes a little (indents, etc) but the code is still displayed. I copied the html content into a Notepad file (did not copy the header) and saved that with the html extension. Then opened it and it displayed correctly in a web page. Any ideas?

You need to see the e-mail before it's gone through content conversion. Pipeline tracing is one way to get a copy of the mail from the sender. It's usually bad MIME formatting that casuses these sorts of problems, but it could also be a stray empty line in the e-mail header that's creating the same symptoms. --- Rich Matheisen MCSE+I, Exchange MVP --- Rich Matheisen MCSE+I, Exchange MVP

Hi, Please use OWA to check if the email also shows html code. If yes, the problem could be caused by the Oracle. Please remember to click Mark as Answer on the post that helps you, and to click Unmark as Answer if a marked post does not actually answer your question. This can be beneficial to other community members reading the thread. Thanks Gen Lin-MSFT

We are running tests with the Oracle team now. Due to the holidays it is hard to stay in touch with the user. I'll keep you guys posted. Thanks for the ideas!
