How do I filter on multiple values / labels within a Pivot Table which points to a Power Pivot Model

Hi,

How do I filter on multiple values / labels within a large data set within a Pivot Table which points to a Power Pivot Model. I am current using Excel 2010 64 bit. I intend to empower users to achieve this by simply using the Excel user interface, not by using Excel formula or DAX. Please find the attached screen shot as a worked example, also in my real life example not all the values are available in the drop down. You can't use a slicer for the same reason as you can't use a drop down. I guess what I was hoping for is for the user to be able to enter AND or OR within the associated dialog box. Is there any way around this?

Kind Regards,

Kieran.

DAX has oodles of filter functions.
Your post is a bit sparse on specifics.

OK Herbert,

I have refined the question.

How to "Fisher-Price" the filtering process for the average user
is covered in chapter 2 of the book
"Power Pivot Alchemy"
by Rob Collie and Bill Jelen.
I might work one of your examples if you share the file.
Include the database and the desired setup and interface.

Hi George,

The following link implies that the answer to my question is that it's not possible; -

https://exceljet.net/lessons/how-to-filter-a-pivot-table-with-multiple-filters

"Its important to understand that the multiple filters setting allows you to add both a value filter and a label filter to a field, but not for example, two value filters or two label filters."

So I am not confident that purchasing a copy of "Power Pivot Alchemy"  by Rob Collie and Bill Jelen will enable me to answer my question.

Kind Regards,

Kieran.

Excel 2010 with free PowerPivot and Power Query Add-In.
Compatible with Office 2013 Pro Plus.
With 3 (three) label filters.
Adapted from the book "Power Pivot Alchemy"
I agree that a $29.95 investment in the book is a significant business risk.
