How do I deploy/configure my exchange 2010 server to accept emails from other sources?
We have successfully deployed exchange 2010 for our primary domain, all accounts from 2003 have been successfully migrated. All users, machines, phones etc... are now working the way we expect them to. Hurray for that! Now, we would like to be able to send/receive email through this exchange server for 2 other websites we have that we currently are paying someone else to host the email. So, How do I go about adding XXXXXXX.com and YYYYYYY.com to be able to send and receive emails when I am not planning on creating an actual domain in my forest?

you would need to change the MX record for your domain to point to new hub/edge transport server configure Hub trasnport server : http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb738138(EXCHG.140).aspx if you have edge server http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb232082(EXCHG.140).aspx Thank you Dhruv

I have done the above, and I already had them configured to the specs listed above. How do I go about creating mailboxes that are not assigned to domain users now?

Hi, >Now, we would like to be able to send/receive email through this exchange server for 2 other websites we have that we currently are paying someone else to host the email. Does the mailbox still reside on those two web mailbox servers? So what function do you want to achieve? I guess you would move the mailbox from 2 website to your exchange server, but you still need to use XXXXXXX.com and YYYYYYY.com domain name to communicate with others from internet. I don't believe you can do that if these two domain names are not belong to your company. Please remember to click Mark as Answer on the post that helps you, and to click Unmark as Answer if a marked post does not actually answer your question.
