How & CAN we do this?
At a past MS demo, a saw a member of MS staff receiving internal email, which at the top featured a passport style photo of the sender. "Brilliant" I thought. So firstly, Im not sure if this was a feature of Exchange 2007, so sorry if this is the incorrect group to post into. 1. What is the best way to have a system where a staff directory can exist which drags information from the Active Directory users objects? Preferably this staff directory would be in the format of a web page. It needs to include information such as Name, Department, Phone No etc.for all users in active directory. 2.What would be the best way of having a passport style photo for each member of staff, which can be integrated into point 1 above? 3. How would we go about having this photo appear within emails which users send? 4. Is it possible to allow ordinary users to edit some of the fields themselves? i.e phone number If anyone can point us in the right direction it would be really appreciated.

Youare seems talking about ShowSenderPhoto add-in for outlook 2007, but its only using in Microsoft inside not public yet. Sowe cannot download this add-in from Microsoft official website like Download Center. Microsoft staff need upload photo to a internal SharePoint website so that Outlook 2007 can show senders photo after installing this add-ins. Herein, I must point out that this is not a new feature in Exchange 2007 Server. In my opinion, the photo binary data should be stored in the ADs user object. For more information to store image in AD, here are what I found. http://www.chineseinnorthamerica.com/technical/active%20directory/active%20directory%20images.html http://support.microsoft.com/kb/292029/en-us -Jason

I agree that the AD user's object would be the most ideal location for the pic, but this would dramatically increase the size of the AD database, and tick of the AD administrators. Size matters, right? Sharepoint is the 'next best place' today, but placement in the users Exchange mailbox would possibly be a usefull alternative??? Regards, Jeremy
