Thanks for the reply Terence. I have pretty much gotten the idea of Exchange Hosted Services. It basically offers three solutions:
Microsoft Forefront Online Protection for Exchange
Microsoft Exchange Hosted Archive
Microsoft Exchange Hosted Encryption
It is a solution for filtering, archiving and encrypting you messaging infrastructure. Companies would still be running their messaging infrastructure inside their corporate network, but after the MX change for EHS, they would have the ability
to filter, encrypt and archive e-mail traffic. It is not a solution where the messaging system is hosted at Microsoft Datacentres, but just the e-mail flow coming from internet would be first received at Microsoft Datacentres and then after applying
policies such as filtering, archiving and encryption, it will be forwarded to corporate network.
Questions:
1- Correct me if I have understood the EHS wrongly?
2- Where can I find technical resources for configuring EHS for any of the customers?
3- Is there anything for the partners in it from business point of view? As I am not aware of the technical part of it, I cannot really say, so you I seek your advice whether it can be taken as a project for customers or not?
4- On the same link that you provided, I saw Exchange Online. How is that different from Exchange Hosted Services? Is this a solution where the whole messaging environment of a company is managed by Microsoft Datacentres?
If that is the case then can this be taken as a project for customer or not?
Thanks in advance.
