High Send Queue
I have have a Exchange 2003 server running on a Server 2003 SBS. The Perfmon MSExchangeIS Mailbox_Total Send Queue Size is sitting just under 500. I would like to know if there is any way to lower the queue size.

Hi Mills06, Its normal if the value is understand 500. Identifying Rising Mail Queues http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb123740(EXCHG.65).aspx Regarding MSExchangeIS Mailbox counter,it displays the number of items awaiting mail delivery, that is, the number of items waiting to move from the mailbox store to the SMTP queue in the IIS for categorization. SMTP then takes the decision where to route the mail. The counter's value should constantly remain below 500. Thanks, Elvis

We ended up deciding to go with Microsoft recommendations with this one. Thanks for all your help.
