Hiding users in the GAL
I am trying to hide a couple of general accounts that we have in the GAL but I cannot find a way to do this. I did some looking on the internet and all I can find is some 3rd party software that can do this. I am wondering if there is a way to do this or if I have to use the 3rd party stuff. Thanks

You can do this in Active Directory Users and Computers on a machine with the Exchange System Management tools installed. Go to the user properties -> Exchange Advanced -> select "Hide from Exchange Address Lists". Tony www.activedir.org

This worked, I tried it before but I guess the replication took to long and I got impatient. I gave it more time this time and it worked.

Yeah, RUS needs to make the update and is by default on a 5 minute cycle. Add to that the AD replication in-site and possibly intra-site (depending on your topology and the number of domain RUS instances you have) and you might have to wait a little for the change to take effect. Tony
