Hide rows with same content in cell

I have a very large excel sheet. (100.000s of lines)

I would like to hide/delete rows which have the same content in 2 cells next to each other.

Example:

If C2 and C3 contain the same values in several rows, only one row should be kept the others should be hidden (if possible) or deleted.

Is this possible with conditional formatting ? or some other formula ?

You could create a helper column, for example in column D (but it can be any column).

In D1, enter the text Hide.

In D2, enter the formula =D2=D1

Fill down from D2 to the end of the data.

Select column D.

On the Home tab of the ribbon, click Sort & Filter > Filter.

Click the filter dropdown arrow in D1.

Clear the check box for True, then click OK.

Hi, in excel you can use the Remove Duplicates option to fulfill your needs.

Select the range of cells that has duplicate values you want to remove. Click Data > Remove Duplicates, and then Under Columns, check or uncheck the columns where you want to remove the duplicates.
