Hide multiple mailboxes from GAL
We are preparing the deployment of our new domain, as part of this, and to save time we have created all users and mailboxes. The users within our organisation have to submit account request forms and sign some operating procedures before they can be issued their account. This will take some time, so we temporarily disable the accounts and hide the users from the GAL.\ We have just created a lot of mailboxes and I want to hide them all from the exchange address list in one go, is there a way to do this for multiple mailboxes without running a script? We only have the rights to manage mailboxes and server configuration within our responsibility, we do not have complete rights over the exchange organisation. Running Svr2k8 ENT and Exch 2007 Thanks

Use a .csv file per: http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/exchangesvradmin/thread/ab8eeb74-3d73-48bf-853b-3da909b737fa/ or create all the new mailboxes in a special OU, then run get-mailbox scoped to that OU and pipe to set-mailbox with the HiddenFromAddressListsEnabled set to $true. When they are allowed to use the mailboxes, reset HiddenFromAddressListsEnabled to $false and move their accounts to the correct users OU.
