Hide Send on Behalf ? Problem.
I am running Exchange 2007 SP1 with RU9 installed. I have given XY user Full Access and Send As permissions on AB user's mailbox using EMC. But when XY user send email to others through typing AB users's email in From field, it appears to other that XY has send on behalf of AB user. Even though I have given him Send As permissions. Logically it should not show Send on Behalf of to others. How can I hide this Send on behalf in from field even though user has Send As permissions?

Have you verified by checking in the Delivery Options of Mailbox the Send on Behalf of field is empty?Vinod |CCNA|MCSE 2003 +Messaging|MCTS|ITIL V3|

Hi, Did you try removing Send As and giving Full Access? Also as Vinod said check the AB mailbox for GrantSendOnBehalfTo attribute on PS. Get-mailbox -id "AB" | fl grant* This should be empty. Thanks. Vishal Ramnani | MCITP - Exchange 2007 | MCSE Messaging | MCTS - Win 2008 Config

Also download latest OAB and ask user to select the name from GAL rather than manually typing in the from field. last but not least ask him to recreate OL profile and checkVinod |CCNA|MCSE 2003 +Messaging|MCTS|ITIL V3|

Hello, I suggest you check the following settings: 1. Open ADSIEdit.msc, expand Domain | CN=Users | locate the user AB | properties 2. In Attribute Editor tab, Locate PublicDelegates attribute, it should be empty. 3. In Security tab, check if XY have send as permission. If all is OK, please restart Microsoft Exchange Information Store service and test the issue again. If the issue persists, please create a new user, grant the permission to it and then see if it works. Thanks, Elvis

Thanks this problem has been resolved. So whenever target recipient receive email he can see that it came from AB. But one more problem Send on Behalf still appears if I visit my Sent Items. It shows that this email is Sent on Behalf of other user. Is it a default behavior of Microsoft Outlook or there is something wrong here? Please let me know. Thanks.

No, it's not a normal behavior. I suggest you restart Microsoft Exchange Information Store service and then send a new email tosee if you can reproduce the issue. At the same time, could you share with us how you resolve the issue? Thanks, Elvis

Hi Imran, For the mails sent before, it will not change, as it's an attribute of individual mail. I suggest you send a new email and then check if the issue can be reproduced. Thanks, Elvis

Hi Elvis, I know it will not change for the already sent emails. But my friend this issue is still here for all new emails sent. I re-created profile again. Downloaded the GAL again. Restarted the Information store service. Checked all the permissions of the user which are perfect like others. But still does not know from where its taking this info. All MS-Outlook updates are also installed on affected person's machine. Anyone please help?
