Hide Fax number
Ok, bear with me on this one. I've been asked if its possible to hide a fax number in a user's personal address book (not the GAL). The key is they want to modify the field from within the Exchange mail database. I know its possible through the Outlook client and I strongly advised against modifying the mail box database due to possible corrupt. But I'd thought I'd ask just to get some feedback. Thanks,D

Hello D,Actually there isn't any control on user's personal address book (not the GAL/OAB) from Exchange server. It is basically controlled by Outlook Client. Not sure if we can change the fields in personal address book of Outlook via group policy or some other centralized way. You would get better suggestions in Outlook Newsgroup.Outlook NewsGroup:http://www.microsoft.com/office/community/en-us/default.mspx?dg=microsoft.public.outlook.general=en&cr=USAmit Tank | MVP - Exchange | MCITP:EMA MCSA:M | http://ExchangeShare.WordPress.com
