Hello, I am running Exchange 2007 sp1 on windows 2008. I had a old backup that I needed to restore. To make it work I had to create a virtual machine with Windows 2003 and Exchange 2003. I was able to restore the old copy of the DB to exchange 2003 in a separate administrative group, and I am able to mount the DB. However I can't get to the e-mails. When I try to get to them via outlook or owa I get sent to the Exchange 2007 server. Does anyone know how I can get e-mails out of the old DB (and STM) that are mounted on my old exchange server? Hi, You can create some non-mailbox enabled users and reconnected the old database mailbox to the users. Then, use exmerge tool to export the mailboxes into pst files.
