I have no problems with the backups , they all come out right , but after the backup ends , the OWA service goes down and stays so until I reboot the server , and I've tried restarting exchange services only , but does not work , I have no log of Event Viewer logs and ISS does not show me anything either . thanks , appreciate any comments

what exchange version you are user, if it is exhange 2003 - could be a performace issue. Non-Paged Pool (KERNEL) memory becomes exhausted and after reboot everything works fine. I suggest you to update all server drivers at latest level. i have seen many page pool and non-pagepool memory issues.
