Help configuring outlook anywhere - I've tried every suggestion in every post
OK, so I have read about 500 posts it seems on getting outlook anywhere up and running, and I have had no luck. OWA works with no issues, so I know that at least that part is running. I am running Vista, Exchange Server 2007, and Office 2007. I have also connected using http connectivity and my company's webmail.mycompany.com address using Apple's new built in mail app exchange support - the reason I mention this is that since it connected that way, it seems everything should be in order on the server side of things. I have tried connecting with all variations of authentication, ie with SSL, without SSL, with mmstd specification, etc, etc. I CAN get to a point where it asks me for credentials to login to webmail, but no matter how many times I try, it will not accept them (please note there are no certificate error messages of any type that come up). When I get to this perpetual login screen, if it matters, I am connecting without encryption, without SSL and am using the "negotiate" authentication setting. It seems that my server doesn't want much security?? Any ideas would be appreciated - I have read every tutorial on the web it seems and hope I am just missing something small. What else? Well, again if it matters, when I go to webmail I point my browser to http://webmail.myco.com and then it redirects me to an https://webmail.myco.com/owa (which I have tried as well in the config, but it won't connect to the server with the https). The server name I use is 123MAIL.mycompany.com, and I just use my server username. Also, when the prompt asks me for my credentials I have tried username, username[at]mycompany.com and DOMAIN\username - all to no avail. If anyone needs more info, please let me know. Thanks.

Hi, Let’s focus on the outlook anywhere configuration issue. Then please check Vaildport settings from registry. 1) Click start “Run” 2) Regedit - this will open the registry editor 3) HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Rpc\RpcProxy 4) Notice the Dword called Enabled set to 1 5) There is a String value called "ValidPorts" Microsoft Exchange Information Store service: 6001referral service of DSProxy: 6002proxy service of DSProxy: 6004Active Directory (if the global catalog server and Exchange Server are on the same server): 6004 2. Test the RPC proxy server, IIS connection to the RPC application through your Internet browser. Type https://ProxyServerFQDN/rpc and then check with the information in the article below: How to Verify RPC Virtual Directory Configuration http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb124175(EXCHG.65).aspx 3.
