Help Deleting file.
I am unable to delete select files that i wish to be removed from my computer. The message that appears is as follows: "You need permission to perform this action" I am the administrator on this computer, but apparently from my user (which is supposed to be admin) i cannot delete these files. I've looked in the properties and it says that this user is only able to read & read and execute. How to i fix this problem.

If you are an administrator, you should be able to take ownership of the file. Are you sure that no system process is using the file?Outlook Web Access For PDA , OWA For WAP www.owa-pda.com email a@t leederbyshire d.0.t c.0.m

it is a file that acts as a p2p downloader for a free online game. Its called turbine. i was able to remove all but 6 files, all of which gave me the same "no permission" response.

if you look at the properties of the file, then the security or permissions settings, I think you will see an Advanced button (depending on your OS). From there, you should be able to take ownership of the file, which will give you full permissions on it.Outlook Web Access For PDA , OWA For WAP www.owa-pda.com email a@t leederbyshire d.0.t c.0.m

By the way, it seems like an OS issue. This forum is for Exchange Server.
