Have an issue with Exchange 2007 SP1 Accepted Domains
Have an issue with Exchange 2007 SP1.Want to add a new accepted domain and we get the following error/failed message:OK--------------------------------------------------------Summary: 1 item(s). 0 succeeded, 1 failed. Elapsed time: 00:00:00newdoamainnameFailedError:The template, "smtp:@existingdomainname.com", cannot appear more than once as enabled or disabled e-mail address templates.Exchange Management Shell command attempted:new-AcceptedDomain -Name 'newdoamainname' -DomainName 'newdoamainname.com' -DomainType 'Authoritative'Elapsed Time: 00:00:00We upgraded from Exchange 2003 a couple years ago and have been mostly stable since then.We added a new acceped domain a while back and it seemed fine as well& we never actually used it and tried to remove it thinking this was setup incorrectly& it will NOT remove and give a very similar error. We read several posts and tried removing the last added domain, the one we are NOT using or need anymore, and tried the ADSIedit method on the diabledGatwayProxy with no success. Please help us with these two items:1) Add a new accepted domain and not get the error.2) Remove the accepted domain we no longer need. Thanks in advance. -J-

We added a new acceped domain a while back and it seemed fine as well& we never actually used it and tried to remove it thinking this was setup incorrectly& it will NOT remove and give a very similar error. We read several posts and tried removing the last added domain, the one we are NOT using or need anymore, and tried the ADSIedit method on the diabledGatwayProxy with no success. First, you need to remove any Email Address policy which uses the accepted domain (which you are trying to remove) so it will allow you to remove accepted domain entry... How to Remove an E-Mail Address Policy http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb125181.aspx If you have already removed the email address policy or don't have any EAP then you may try by removing the entry directly with ADSIEdit.msc at below path... Thanks; we were able to clear out the disabledproxygateway in adsiedit, where ALL domain name were incorrectly located, and everything is fine now. Thanks again. -J-
