HELP NEEDED!!!! Bought Office 2013 and now can't get it validated nor downloaded

Short story.

college student with 2010 Student and home copy of office 2010 installed. Dad upgraded HD to SSD and reinstalled all software. Office 2010 which he bought from Best Buy back in 2010 refused to validate and upon multiple chats and phone conversations with MS, they decreed it as now being pirated software since it was validated 5 times, which I did on 3 laptops over the course of 5 years and in spite of me having all the original box and disc and else from BB. They said to take it back to BB for a replacement. After a 45 minute drive to nearest BB, they laughed at me about replacing a 5 year old Office 2010 and said that MS was full of it.

So, like an idiot... I then bought a new copy of Office 2013 University to use.

Now it won't validate nor download nor of course install either and I am currently number 110 after waiting 20 minutes already.

I was a dedicated, loyal, past technical beta tester for MS and take pride in my gold beta copies of Win95, 98, MSN and other programs I beta tested for free but now I am wondering what has happened to MS with regard to being responsive to their long time customers?

I would never, ever steal software but after paying for Office twice and getting to use it nada, I can see how others can rationalize it.

Can someone please help me solve this MS problem???

thanks,

John

PS -  now I got down to 23 in the queue and lost my connection.... this is a MS nightmare.

Hi,

We have definitely heard your frustration, and we're thinking about ways to make this scenario work better for our customers.

Did you buy the Office 365 University? Based on my research, I can only find this version in Best Buy website. Have you got an installation disk and a paper of product key? If no, you should get a Microsoft account that purchased the subscription.

Please see this FAQ that contained detailed steps.

===

1. Visit www.office.com/myaccount on the PC or Mac that you want to install Office on, and sign in with the Microsoft account that you used to purchase the subscription.
2. Click Install. If a dialog box pops up, click Run to start the installation.
3. Follow the installation wizard instructions to finish installing Office. Office will install in the background. You may start using Office programs during the installation. Please do not go offline or restart your computer while Office is installing.

Note: Windows 7 and higher or Mac OS X 10.6 and higher, an Internet connection, and available installs are required. If you dont have any installs left, you can deactivate one. You do not need a product key to install Office 365 Home, Personal, or University. Office was automatically activated upon purchase. Current Office versions included in Office 365 are Office 2013 for Windows, Office 2016 for Mac OS X 10.10 or higher, and Office 2011 for older versions of OS X.

If you purchased Office Home & Student 2013, Home & Business 2013, Professional 2013, Office for Mac Home & Student 2011 or Office for Mac Home & Business 2011:

1. Sign in to your Microsoft account. Once logged in, you will be on your Microsoft Store Online account page.
2. You will see the Office product you purchased.  Click the "Install/Manage" button.
3. Follow the installation wizard instructions to finish installing Office. Office will install in the background. You may start using Office programs during the installation. Please do not go offline or restart your computer while Office is installing.

Note: An Internet connection is required for installation and activation. You will not need to enter your product key. Office will be automatically activated when you click Install/Manage.

Then, you also might download from this backup site:

If this issue still exists, please share me the screenshots which you downloaded/installed Office. I'd like to do further troubleshooting.
