HELP: Having Exchange 2003 SP2 Public Folder Config/Replication Issues
If there's a more appropriate forum for this issue, please advise. I'm in the midst of an Exchange 2003 SP2 server migration that has hit a snag with regard to Public Folders. I can see all the top level Public Folders within System Manager. Under Properties/Replication for a given Public Folder I enter the new Exch2003 server for Replication (2 servers now listed). The Replication Status for the old Exch2003 server is "In Sync", but it's "Local Modified" for the new Exch2003 server and there's no content replicated to the new Exch2003 server. I've tried everything I can find (Resending Changes, Synchronize Hierarchy, etc.), but no dice. The Manage Settings option is also greyed out for all the top level Public Folders. Is this a permissions problem? This issue played out within the following Exchange Forum Thread, but it fizzled out (no more help/replies) :( http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/exchangesvrmigration/thread/6d118e72-6d71-405d-b216-866c4a94b797Bill Thacker

Are there any PF replication messages queueed in the queues? Are the server able to talk to each other? Any errors in the evnt log?

The Queues are empty on both servers, they can definitely talk to each other (on the same IP subnet- Ping and SMB work fine), and the Event Logs look clean.Bill Thacker

You can send mails back and forth? Jonas Andersson | Microsoft Community Contributor Award 2011 | MCITP: EMA 2007/2010 | Blog: http://www.testlabs.se/blog | Follow me on twitter: jonand82

Yes. Mail flow is fine. I have a case opened with Microsoft Support and it appears the DACLs are "messed up"Bill Thacker

Ok, would you please update the thread with the solution when they have solved it? That would others a lot if they run into the same issue :) Jonas Andersson | Microsoft Community Contributor Award 2011 | MCITP: EMA 2007/2010 | Blog: http://www.testlabs.se/blog | Follow me on twitter: jonand82
