Group Distribution not working for particular user
Hello, I am supporting a Windows 2003 Server Active Directory where we have global distribution groups for each department. For the longest time there has been one particular user who has never been able to receive emails from this group. I can add more users to the group and it will be received, also if I remove that particular user and add them again it still will not work. Of course the mailbox is also fine by itself. Does anyone know what this might mean?? It is a mailbox that cannot be deleted as it is generic so I need to find other ways of troubleshooting while keeping it active. Any help would be extremely appreciated!! Tim

What does message tracking say, does it say delivered to store? Does the message tracking show any indication of possibly being forwarded?James Chong MCITP | EA | EMA; MCSE | M+, S+ Security+, Project+, ITIL msexchangetips.blogspot.com

Do you use an Exchange Server? which version. Plaese have a look at the messagetracking log in orderr to get some more detailed inforamtion about mailrouting. The most common reason is that a userr have configures a filder and moves the mail to a diffrent folder. regards Thomas Paetzold visit my blog on: http://sus42.wordpress.com

Agree with the above two troubleshooting steps- messaging tracking and create a dummy DL and then add that user into that to check whether user is getting mail from that or not ? Need to know is this for only ONE Distribution Group or the every DL in which user is part of. Rest If possible try to move the users mailbox from one DB to another and then add that user to that Group and check. Thanks
