Granting access on mailbox
I have a mailbox that i set up with fullaccess for a user. They can't open the mailbox though. When i ran "Get-MailboxPermission" There are two entries for the user I'm working with. One entry shows that they have full access to the mailbox. Another entry has fullacces inhereted but set to deny. The deny option is blocking the user from opening the mailbox. How can i check where these permissions were inhereted from so I can change them. Exchange 2007 SP1.

Hi, Please understand that if we have explicit Allow on a user (IsInherited: False), it will overwrite any Inheritance Deny. Thus, please add the fullaccess mailbox to the user to troubleshoot the issue: Add-MailboxPermission -Identity "XXXX" -User username -Accessright Fullaccess After that, please reboot the System Attendant Service to troubleshoot the issue. If the issue still persists, please run the following command and post the result: Get-MailboxPermission Identity mailbox user username |fl Mike
