Going NUTS trying to get shapes to print the exact same size they are set to in Excel 2010  - But not like the other problems mentioned here!

Ok... I know that Excel is not meant (or at least was not made) for creating graphics, however, I have found it to be a wonderful tool for doing just that.  Regardless, my daughters also have to use Excel for school on a regular basis and have run into the same problem.  For example, if I insert a shape, let's say a square, and adjust the size to be 1.0" x 1.0", it will not print that size.  Now, I know that changing whether or not it's moved/resized can changed it, that's why I turn that off.  I have all scaling set to 100%. I have the print settings to the highest/best that they can be and nothing makes a difference.

Currently, I have Excel set for a page to be 8.5"x11.0", no margins, no other automatic formatting.  Yet, when you actually look at the page, it is 8.6"x11.2".  (And that is down to the pixel)

How do I get Excel to either keep a shape as the size it's set to when printing AND/OR get it to set a page to actually be the 8.5"x11.0" that it should be?

And I'm using Excel 2010 Professional Plus - Version: 14.0.7151.5001 (32-bit)

Thanks to those who stop by and leave suggestions/answers/fixes!  I really appreciate it!

Have a good one!

'PS' -  I'm hoping someone can give me a better answer than a few closely related ones I read on here where the question's poster was told "we know there's a problem but we can't fix it cause it would cause problems".  In all honestly, when it comes to their software, I do not believe there's anything they can't fix.  Especially something that's been around as long as an Office product like Excel!
