Go Back and Go Forward buttons in Outlook 2013

I must be missing something obvious, but I can't find how to add Go Back and Go Forward buttons to the Outlook home screen, preferably in the Quick Access toolbar.  They don't appear in my Customize menu.

Hi,

Do you mean the Undo and Redo button on the Quick Access Toolbar?

Please open your Outlook, and go to File > Options > Quick Access Toolbar > select Commands Not in the Ribbon form the Choose commands from drop-down list. Can you see the Redo and Undo commands from the list? If so, highlight them and click Add button to add the commands to the Quick Access Toolbar.

If I've misunderstood something, please feel free to let me know.

I'm marking the reply as answer as there has been no update for a couple of days.

If you come back to find it doesn't work for you, please reply to us and unmark the answer.

HI,

I am pretty sure the user knows how to undo redo. What I guess he wants to know (as well as myself) is how to go back and forward similar explorer where you can hit the back button.

the redo has a completely different meaning.

check follwing article that explains how to implement this in outlook 2007 and 2010.

Pretty sure 2013 should be similar to this.

Actually I just found it. Same place but its called forward and back.

Steve, your answer was NOT the answer.

As Peter mentioned below, he was not looking for Undo, Redo, he was looking for the BACK and FORWARD buttons which take you to the previous and next windows in Outlook, like Contacts to Mail to Calendar etc.

Hi there,

I agree the question was NOT Answered, off the mark completely.

The software is missing a BACK and FORWARD button which moves between the different screen states, e.g. Calendar, Email, Folders, etc but accurately remembers the last position. As gablackburn says similar to browser behaviour.

It would be good for productivity.

Regards
