Glueable connection points (Visio 2010 vs Visio 2013)

Hi Guys

I have an Stencil.

I want to have a shape attachable to the parent shape (connection points). It works fine in Visio 2007 and 2010 but not in Visio 2013.

For the attaching shape, I defined the connection point in the inner shape of the group (as you see in the picture).

You can see detailed info in the following pictures (as I have the limitation on the number of Images, I'll post others in a reply message):

But it doesn't work in Visio 2013:

Can it be, that in Visio 2013 you have different glue settings

View -> Visual Aids -> Glue To Geometry -> Yes.

I.e. in principle this sort of things works in 2013:

Maybe you can try to post a sample drawing?

Are your settings the same on the Snap and Glue dialog?

Hi Nikolay

Thank you for your reply.

It doesn't work even if I check the Glue To Shape Geometry option in visual aids.

Hi Paul

Thank you for your reply.

Yes. The Snap and Glue settings are exactly the same in my both Visio 2010 and Visio 2013 environment.

I already have connection points in both shapes. I added some other connection points manually but the result is the same.

What about posting a sample drawing then (one where the problem can be observed)?

Or does this happen only on one specific computer and nowhere else?

BTW, I don't think connection points are relevant (it looks like you can as well delete all of them - this will hardly have any effect on glue) - from the GIF you are actually using "glue to geometry", not connection points. But I may be wrong of course :)

You are right Paul :)

all of the values in Snap & Glue Advanced part are 0 !!!

Changing the numbers solves the problem.

Thank you.....
