Global Address List
Hi Guys, i have 3 sites: site 1: Lotus Note-own forest site 2: Exchange 2003 with his own Forest and a child domain. the child domain has no Exchange servers, all mails is hosted in the root forest even for the child domain. i will mgrated all to Exchange 2013 and i want to have a single global address list, means in each forest they should be abled to see all users for both forest and should be updated automatically. if i delete a user the address list should be updated in both forest. regards jeff

Hi Jeff, First, it is not supported to upgrade from Exchange 2003 to Exchange 2013. It is recommended to upgrade to Exchange 2010 SP3, and then upgrade to 2013. See http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/aa996719.aspx Regarding the GAL syncing between Exchange system and Lotus Notes system, it is possible but it needs complete customization. You have to create something similar to the GalSync solution provided by Microsoft. I strongly recommend engaging the PFE (Microsoft Premier Field Engineers) or MCS (Microsoft consulting serves)resources for this custom development. Your understanding would be appreciated. Here are some resources for you to take a look at developing the solution http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms696013(v=VS.85).aspx - Lotus Notes connected data source, example provisioning code for creating contacts. The help file in the ILM / FIM Identity manager provide lot of details / step by step instructions on creating the Lotus Notes MA itself. http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/server-cloud/forefront/identity-manager.aspx Hope it is helpfu.
