Ghost Server synchronization upon adding a computer to the domain.
I've got a ghost synchronization that I can't find, nor seem to get rid of. when you add a computer to the domain, it immediately sets up a local machine synchronization on logout with a defunct server. We've scoured our A/D system and can't seem to find any reference to this syncronization command in any GPO, or Domain policy. regardless of what we try, it keeps coming up everytime we add a computer to the domain.. Does anyone know where to look to get rid of this? Jay Smellow, AMB

Sure sounds like a GPO. One on of the machines listed, go to a command line and type "GPRESULT". That will list the GPOs applied to that workstation.

Andy, We've gone through all the GPO Policies both local and AD, and can't find any reference to the server in question. (server "Harley") I've gone so far as to remove any reference to "harley" in the registry, but it keeps attempting to sync on logout. I can manually go into Synchronize, and uncheck the server, but that isn't removing it from the computer itself. any other ideas? Jay
