Getting error code : 0x8004011d when trying to send/Receive mail

Hi all ,

My lab setup enviroment consists of  Windows server 2012 R2 with Exchange Server 2013 and outlook 2013.

Every thing was working fine ,I was able to send mail from one email account to another and both email accounts were configured in the same outlook .But now it is showing that outlook is disconnected and when trying to send message ,gives the error "! task , email address -sending reported error (0x8004011D): The server is not available .Contact your administrator if this condition persists." .Even after removing one of the accounts the problem remains.

And since this is my lab environment ,i am working as an admin ,so i think there is no issue of permissions.

What are the possible reasons and solutions for this type of error.

Please help me out.

Thank you,

Hi,

Does the issue only happen to one user? Please disable using Exchange Cached mode in Outlook and check whether the Outlook can connect to Exchange server normally or not.

Please make sure the latest patches and service packs are installed for your Outlook 2013. We can aslo create a new Outlook profile for this user and check whether the issue continues in the new profile:

Hi Winnie ,

Thanks for your reply.Your solution worked for me but i think the problem was with the default gateway.According to your suggestion I disabled the Exchange Cached mode but after that i found that i was not able to open outlook even in safe mode. Then i created a new outlook profile but it was giving me a message  "The connection to Microsoft Exchange is unavailable.Your network adapter does not have a default gateway."So finally i entered a default gateway and my problem was half solved. Now i was connected to exchange and can send mail successfully but the receiver on the other end was not receiving mail.Another problem arised.

Can you suggest me some possible  solutions for this .

Thank you,

Zohaib
