Getting alerts for new appointments, showing on calendar but not in the inbox
Starting about 1 month ago, started receiving calls from staff stating that new calendar appointments were showing up on their calendars, but not in their inbox.  I have been checking different forums to see if an outlook update or windows update may have caused this, but not finding anything.  Using Outlook 2013.  Also, get alerts that appointment is coming in.  Has anyone else seen this issue or know of a resolution?

I don't know of anything server-side that would do this on user mailboxes.  Set-CalendarProcessing configures this behavior for resource mailboxes.

I would look at Outlook's Calendar options to see if automatic acceptance is configured.

Thanks, the appointments are not accepted yet (still greyed out), showing on calendar.  I found it very strange that it is happening to multiple people and it does not happen all the time.

Make sure that there is no folder view on the Inbox that might be hiding them.

Hi,

Please check this issue in OWA.

And start outlook by using /cleanviews switch to check this issue.

I saw some other similar thread caused by "show in groups" feature in outlook.

Best Regards.

One other thing that has been noticed, the appointment item is in the deleted items folder as well.  Unable to move back to inbox.

Found out this had to do with an add-in inside of outlook.  We use Mimecast for email archiving and anti-virus.  When disabling that add-in the issue was not happening.  Have contacted the vendor and they are making a change to their application.  Thanks for all the help and suggestions
