GAL error.
Hi All, I have a query regarding the Exchange 2007 GAL. We have created quite a number of distribution groups in the GAL. These groups are shown in the GAL when we open the outlook 2007 client and clisk on TO button. Is there a way in Exchange 2007 to select individual users who are in a distrubution group and send a mail to them?? What I mean is when we click on TO and we open the distribution group it expands. However we have to send mails to certain individuals in a given group. Please assist.

You can expand the group and send mail to several users or you can create additionalgroup. Group can be created in contacts folder in the mailbox for individual users also

Thanks for your response. But there is a problem. When I go and expand the various groups that are available in the GAL I can see various users in those groups but I am not able to add the specific users in the TO or the CC or the BCC of any mail that I want to send. The usual practice here is that users go to the group shown in the GAL and select some users to whom they want to send a mail to. Please assist.

add the group to the TO line, click on plus sign, you will get every member on the group as an individual on the TO line.

Hi Lasse, The only problem here is that there are more than 50-60 users in almost every group. The user will have a toigh time sending mails to specific users in this case. Is this one of the limitation of Exchange 2007? is there any setting anywhere so that we can enable this feature of selecting users from groups which are listed in the address list. Thank you.
