Front-end Server Licensing
Using Exchange 2003, with one back-end server running Exchange Enterprise and one front-end server running Exchange Standard. Doesthe front-end OWA server require an Exchange server license? I assume YES, but just want to make sure. Thanks

Yes, you do need a license: -Every installation of Exchange needs a server license, either enterprise or standard -Every connection to exchange needs a Client Access License. This includes OWA. -Every software installation of Outlook or other email client needs a client license. In Exchange 2003 the CAL also includes a Outlook Client License. This goes away with E2k7 http://www.microsoft.com/uk/windowsserversystem/exchange/how-to-buy.mspx
