From field display name to match name in message header
Hi,We are using Exchange 2007with a third party helpdesk software that uses pop3 email accounts, i.e., support@domain.com and internal_alert@domain.com, and both accounts are setup in AD & Exchange. When support receives an email, the system then sends an internal_alert email to the helpdesk managers with the original email content. The helpdesk software keeps tracks of users to email, including the person who submitted the issue so thatthe helpdesk managers can reply directly to the email from internal_alert.Here is the problem: Outlook client and OWA both display the account name that's setup in AD and Exchange (Internal_Alert), giving no real intelligence as to who submitted the issue. Only when you open up the message header do you see the name of the person who submitted the issue, i.e., From: John Doe internal_alert@mediachase.com. Is there a way to customize Exchange (or outlook) to allow the name in the message header to appear rather than the name setup in AD/Exchange?Thanks for your help in advance.jasonjason

I haven't thought this all the way through, but what about a hub transport rule that looks for criteria in the header and then prepends "from blah system" to the subject line of the message? I think this should be possible.Mike Crowley: MCT, MCSE, MCTS, MCITP: Enterprise Administrator / Messaging Administrator
