From Field Showing LegacyExchangeDN instead of SMTP or Display Name With Rule That Moves a Copy of Sent Items to Inbox

Okay so here's the scenario... A user insists on setting a rule in Outlook 2013 that states:

Apply this rule after I send the message

through the username@domain.com account

and on this computer only

move a copy to the Inbox folder

So it's a rule that moves a copy of the sent item from the user to the user's the Inbox (in addition to the Sent Items folder...). Anyhow, when the copy arrives in the inbox instead of showing the SMTP address or the display name, it shows the LegacyExchangeDN such as /O=DOMAIN/OU=FIRST ADMINISTRATIVE GROUP/CN=RECIPIENTS/CN=USERNAME. This makes it hard for the user to search for the mail that they've sent and copied to the Inbox using this rule.

I know that a workaround is to set Outlook in cached mode but that causes some other issues such as space concerns. I thought that this bug was addressed already but maybe not for this scenario since it's kind of an odd Outlook rule. We are running Exchange 2013 Build 1076.9 (CU8) and I don't see any mention of CU9 fixing this (although we plan to install it anyway).

I am also only able to reproduce it on our RemoteApp servers. I have a local copy of Outlook that is not running in cached mode on my Windows 10 desktop that doesn't do the same thing but I'm not sure that this matters (I did notice that the versions of Outlook are slightly different but I'm not sure if this is an Outlook issue or an Exchange/AD issue).

Also, everything shows normal in the GAL and I haven't noticed it doing this in any other scenario yet.

Thank you in advance for your time!
