French characters stripped out and or changing to weird characters with Exchange 2003 and using Outlook 2003 client
The sender is using Lotus Notes and our client is using Exchange 2003 Server with Outlook 2003 on the desktop. instead of seeing Donne accs which is correct the format changes to Donne accs or Nouveauts changes to Nouveauts missing the , reflxion changes to rflexion again missing the did take a look at the header info of the email and X-Mailer being used to send to our clients is Lotus Notes Release 8.5.2 content type is multi part mixed with the boundry="0_=0ABBF320DFDF68DA8f9e8a93df93869018c0abbf320FDF68DA" is theproblem at the senders side using the Lotus notes or is it our system which is not well configured which in turn messes up the system. If I do send from my own Hotmail account the french charaters are OK and do not get stripped at all. Thanks in advance for your assistance Claude Le Vas

Hi Is the weird characters in the E-mail Body or Subject, also did the problem still exist when you send between two Exchange users Accounts? You could have a look on Content Conversion Issue with Exchange http://blogs.technet.com/b/amir/archive/2007/07/14/content-conversion-issue-with-exchange-entourage.aspx Hope it helps Cheers Zi feng Zi Feng TechNet Community Support
