Free Busy Replication in multi cross forest migration

Consider the following scenario.... we are consolidating multiple forests with multiple domains into a single forest multi domain environment. We have Source Forest A that is AD 2003 and Exchange 2003 and we have Source Forest B which is AD 2003 and Exchange 2007. Target Forest is AD 2008R2 and Exchange 2010.

Between Source Forest A and Source Forest B we are using GALSync for Address book and interOrg for Free Busy replications

We are using Quest AD migration product to objects from source to target forest. Quest also handles updates of Free Busy info of migrated users only from Target Forest to Source Forests. Routing between the Forests Exchange environments is 100% configured and working.

To save on costs we are creating new users direcectly into new Target Forest, with contacts in Source Forest A and B,

Outlook 2003 is the standard version in Source Forest A and Outlook 2007/2010 in Source Forest B.

We have FIM 2010 in the environment.

Problem is now users in Source Forests A and B are unable to see these new Target Forest users Free Busy info in their relevant Exchange environments. How do we go about pulling in this Free Busy without causing an absolute mess? What is the best way of doing this? Are we able to just replicate these new users only?

Hi Stephane,

Exchange 2003 and Outlook 2003 retrive/publish Free Busy info from the public folder. Therefore, you need to ensure the replication between the forests.
