Forwarding to Security Group no longer working

Hello,

We have a monthly report emailed to a user mailbox setup to forward all email to global security group and until this month was working fine but will no longer go through. If I disable forwarding I am able to see the email come through to the inbox. I have done a mail trace and am able to see it being sent to the DL. We are setup with a on premise AD using dirsync to O365. I have triple checked all rules and settings everywhere and am at a loss. I cannot figure out why its not forwarding to our "all" DL anymore.

The group is able to receive mail, its is our "all@company.com" address. If I disable forwarding on the report address I am able to see the email in the inbox. As soon as I turn forwarding back on and test it nothing goes to the "all" group. Its so strange because this has been working for over a year until now.

Please explain exactly what you mean by "disable forwarding on the report address".

Sorry, so I used powershell to enable and disable forwarding to the all@company.com for emails going to reports@company.com.  I disabled the forwarding to test and see if the email showed up in the inbox for reports@company.com and i did show up. So I re enabled forwarding to all@company.com and it never distributes to everyone. But if I do a mailtrace in the o365 admin portal it does show "The message was sent to a distribution list (DL) that was expanded to the recipients of the DL.

And thank you for your help!

Don't tell me "I used powershell".  Post the command you entered and the complete and exact results you

Yeah that would help huh,

Set-Mailbox -Identity "reports@copmany.com" -ForwardingSMTPAddress "all@company.com"

then i used Get-Mailbox -Identity all@company.com | fl

and I could see in there that ForwardingSMTPAddress was in fact set to all@company.com

Try adding  -DeliverToMailboxAndForward $true to the Set-Mailbox command.

Thanks, tried that too and same thing. Email shows up but never forwards. I just manually forwarded it to the all@company.com address and it went through no problem.

Hi,

Please remove the email forward configuration from EAC and re-add it back from EAC to have a try:

If it doesn't work, I suggest we can use Transport Rule to set email forward configuration as a workaround.

Same issue with that method as well. I can log into the account and manually forward to the ALL group and that works no problem.
