Forwarding incoming emails
Hi, can anyone suggest the best method forwarding certain incoming emails to mailboxes within Exchange. Currently I have a user that has several forwarding rules in place on her local Outlook. I would like to know if it is possible to do this from Exchange. I would think the easiest way is to create a distribution list for each particular rule and have the sender choose that. I was just wondering if there was a way or some software that could do that for me in Exchange. Thanks,Joe

It depends on which version of Exchange Server. If you are running E2K7, you can use a Transport Rule to examine the message content and then forward the message on to a user or distribution group based on the content. You can think of Transport Rules as being similar to the Outlook rules, but processed on the Hub Transport server (rather than at the client) and also much more powerful.Jim McBee - Blog - http://mostlyexchange.blogspot.com

The user can also log into OWA and use rules there which would forwrd acutomaticly before the client would sort it...
