Forms based authentication - Necessary for Exchange 2007?
I have been looking around to see if FBA is and/or should be used with Exchange 2007 OWA? The reason I ask is that we are using (or trying) to use Cisco Presence, and their suggestion is to turn FBA off. We are currently not using OWA to authenticate to to SharePoint or a Project server. Any advice would be great.

You can use intergrated or basic on the CAS server for OWA. It doesn't have to be limited to FBA.BP

Thanks for the info, I just didn't know if FBA was the preferred method.

Technically placing a ISA 2006 server in the DMZ and then using FBA on ISA to perform the authentication and then passing it to the CAS server is the best way to give OWA access to users. Here is some info: http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/aa998036.aspxBP
