Formatting and Style changes
Hello,

I use MS Office 2013 Pro Plus VL (6.1.7601 Service Pack 1 Build 7601) for my users in the company.

I have recently faced a strange problem with Excel: certain CSV and .XLSX files format and style changes when I open it for only ONE of my users, while the file opens as it is on for other users on other PCs. such as columns width changes and become smaller.

I have removed and re-installed office, and downloaded all update packages, but it is still the same!

Any suggestion?

Thanks,

Hi Hamed Da,

According to your description, my understanding is that, when you re-open an excel which changed the formatting and style, but the formatting and style back to normal.

First you should know .csv (Comma Separated Values) files are text files. Only data are saved with commas to indicate columns changes, nothing else can be saved (no formula, no formatting)

There is a similar issues you can reference:

http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/office/forum/officeversion_other-excel/wont-save-color-column-width-changes/36a1a828-93f2-40a3-8ea4-2fe1101fd910

And please try to save your file as Excel Workbook (*.xslx), and try again.

Hope its helpful.

If my understanding is incorrect, please let me know. If possible please take a screenshot and upload it, so that we can get more accurate solutions to this problem. I am glad to help and forward to your reply.
