Folder issue in shared mailboxes
We are running Exchange 2007 SP1 and using Outlook 2010 as the client for our users. We run the clients in cached mode. The issue we are having is that some of our users in germany have a shared mailbox that they use in relation to the online shop. The issue being that if they try and create folders in the shared mailbox it can take up to 24 hours to appear and a similar thing happens if they try and delete a folder. As a workaround we suggested that they managed the folder creation and deletion by using there own mailbox and then dragging it to and from the shared mailbox. However when one of them creates the folder and drags it in it is not showing up for the other one. Our exchange servers are in london and they are in berlin. However I have logged in as one of the users on a pc in london and the issue still occours. If I switch him out of cached mode and then back in again I can create a folder and have it appear straight away and I can then delete it and it dissapears. If I then do it a second time it appears straight away but when I then delete it. This happens even when a fresh shared mailbox was created. However it doesn't happen on the share mailbox that my team use which is in a different mailstore to the one having the issue. So to see if the issue was the mailstore I moved it to the same one and the issue still happend.

Any reason you are still on Exchange 2007 SP1? That is very old, we are now on Exchange 2007 SP3. I would suggest that you update the server to begin with. Do other changes to the mailboxes sync correctly? Simon.Simon Butler, Exchange MVP Blog | Exchange Resources
