First time login Outlook Web App Exchange 2013 takes very long. The page just keep loading like there is no tomorrow

Hi guys,

Facing a issue where even newly create mailbox connecting to Outlook Web Apps takes a very long time to login for the first time.

Once the account able to login, the next time the account login to Outlook Web App, there is no this issue.

Internal / External same issue, NLB or no NLB is the same issue as well.

Windows Server 2012 R2 with Exchange 2013 SP1.

32GB RAM with 4 CPU.

Where can I start troubleshoot this problem?

Thanks and Regards,

Low

Hi,

From your description, I would like to clarify the following thing:

Generally, OWA and ECP take a little longer to load the first time. It is because that the application pool needs to warm up and get itself moving. Your understanding will be appreciated.

Hope this can be helpful to you.

Hi Amy,

Thanks for your reply

Does that mean every new user will have to face this issue?

Hi,

Yes, when you logon OWA at first time, it often takes more time than others.

Hope my clarification can be helpful to you.

Hi Amy,

Thanks for your clarification.

Was wondering why it can take up to 3 hours to manage to login the account.

I think I need to let the users know that when newly create their mailboxes it will takes up to 2 - 3 hours to login to OWA.

Thanks and Regards,

Low

Can we use application warm-up module for OWA application?
