Finding the Exchange 2003 and 2007 server in Co-existence Envirnment?
Hi Team, We have a one the client have a larege exchnage environemnt, who is having the exchange 2003 and 2007 servers in co-existing environment. I would like to get the list of Exchange servers where 2003 is installed and 2007 servers list . How can i get this and is there any PS command available ? Thanks is in advance

You can run an Exchange BPA report from the 2007 server. The Information Tab should give you all the servers and more information about them (like what AD site they are in). I believe you can also get a list by running the Get-ExchangeServer command from the EMS on 2007. That should list all servers in the org. Hi TWHarrington thanks for the update Get-ExchangeServer will give , list of all exchange servers. but i would like to segrigate the 2003 and 2007 servers. Any other suggetion please

When you run the Get-ExchangeServer command, you should see a Version column. Anything with 6.5 will be 2003, and anything with 8.x will be 2007. Is this what you are wanting? Tim Harrington - Catapult Systems - http://HowDoUC.blogspot.com

Hi All Get-Exchangeserver | FL Name, Serverrole If the server is is mentioned as NONE, then its Exchange 2003 server. if it is having any role like hubtransport, Mailbox, Cas...etc..means then it should be Exchange server 2007 i hope this is one of the easiest way to find... Any other ...please welcome...

Yes, thanks Version colum also be able to find the difference. that 's great one...thanks a lot....i think we can come to conclusion with the above two attributes....
