Finding and deleting objects in the Global Address List.
Hi, Recently migrated from 2003. I am new to this company and when I got here the previous admin left in the middle of the migration to 2007. The administrator before that was a messy admin. So I have a GAL with a ton of useless contacts. These contacts are causing multiple issues. I have been doing so reading this morning on GALs in 2007 but haven't been able to find the information I need. I am running Exchange 2007 SP2 on Win2k8. I would like to know how to find and remove contacts from the GAL, that I cannot find in AD. Recreating the default GAL is an option, but doesn't sound like it can be done. I have tried to find some of this information with ADSIedit. Any recommended reading would be great. Thanks, James

Hi Andy, I hadn't turned off Exchange Cache mode, I thought I had previously. That certainly helped. When you asked I checked OWA and that had the correct GAL, so I double checked the user's config and turning off cache mode resolved the issue. Thanks, James
