Find users connecting to Exchange 2007 via POP3
Hello, We have Exchange 2007 and want to get all users off of POP3. How can we find via log files, or some other method, who is checking via POP3? We don't want to just turn off POP3 and wait for the phone to ring, we'd like to be more proactive in migrating these users. Thank you, Brian

Enable diagnostic logging for the POP3svc service for authentications and connections. You will see these details in the event log. Another option is to view pop connections under your pop SMTP virtual server. Protocols\pop3\default pop3 virtual server \current sessions. Here is a good atilce on diagnostic logging http://www.msexchange.org/tutorials/Diagnostics-Logging.html Santhosh Sivarajan | MCTS, MCSE (W2K3/W2K/NT4), MCSA (W2K3/W2K/MSG), CCNA, Network+ Houston, TX http://blogs.sivarajan.com/ http://publications.sivarajan.com/ This posting is provided "AS IS" with no warranties, and confers no rights.

Thank you, that worked, also the log file is generated in the Exchange logging folder under POP3.
