Find mailboxes in RSG
Hi I have a user on a mailbox store (IS1) that wants their mailbox restored from 01 Feb 2011. I created an RSG on Exchange 2007 and restored their mailbox store from that date. Strangely, when I want to restore their 'old' mailbox to their live mailbox, I get a message saying their mailbox is not in the RSG database. I don't know if it had changed name or anything. Does anyone know if it's possible to run a PS command to get a list of mailboxes within an RSG database?

try executing get-mailboxstatistics with RGS db filter. get-mailbox command is for connected mailboxes.Best Rgds, Ashish | Unified Comunication | MCTS | MCITP | Please remember to select option "Propose As Answer" if solution work for you | My posts hold no assurances, no promises, and they measured no rights.

Good advice from Ashish and Gavin. If that doesn't work out and you want to look at a 3rd party utility that can open the Offline databases so the you can Browse, Search, Export to PST, MSG, and XML or Recover Mailboxes, items etc to any online Production Exchange server check out Lucid8's DigiScope http://www.lucid8.com/product/digiscope.asp Troy Werelius www.Lucid8.com
