Find and Drop Down Menus don't work

Hello,

One of my users is having intermittent issues with find and drop down windows.  He said they are not grayed out but when he clicks on either find or something from the drop down menu, nothing happens.  Some days it works and some days it does not work.  Does anyone know why there is an intermittent problem?  Is there a patch/fix for this issue or is it just a user problem?  Thanks for any help.

Hello,

Thank you for your response.  I am using Visio 2010.  Sorry but I am not able to provide screenshots.  Do you know what the latest update is for Visio 2010 and a link?  Maybe there is a fix for this issue.  To answer your question, the meaning of find and drop down windows just means that when the user clicks on either one, nothing happens and it just hangs.

Thanks for the help!

The Visio 2010 application is not installed locally on the workstation.  It is installed on a network drive on a server instead.  Is there a command line I can use for the repair?

Thanks for the help.

I think I found what I need.   Can I run this on the network share while the users are actively using Visio or how does that work?  Thanks.

This command-line option runs Setup to repair the specified product. Look up the value of [<var>ProductID</var>] in the Setup.xml file for the product that you want to modify.

An example of the /repair [<var>ProductID</var>] option is as follows.
\\server\share\Office12\setup.exe /repair Pro
In this example, "Office12" is the root of the network installation point.

Can you logon on this server that included Visio 2010? If you can, please log on it and then run this command.
